Current Specification
The MashSSL 1.0 and 1.1 specifications were originally invented and developed by SafeMashups Inc. The MashSSL 1.2open specification has been donated to the community under the W3C Patent Policy which provides for royalty free implementations. It has also been made available under the Open Web Foundation Agreement. The specification which was first developed in early 2008 has been reviewed by several experts including those from the MashSSL Alliance.
