Goals of Standardization

The members of the MashSSL Alliance are committed to the following standardization goals:

  1. An open specification that can be freely implemented without intellectual property concerns.
  2. Standardization within the W3C legal and procedural framework. We have begun this process.
  3. Ensure interoperability of different implementations, a process the Alliance may choose to facilitate through interoperability sessions should it become necessary.
